We know that bringing home a new puppy means doing some exciting shopping. During the nearly 20 years we have had toy fox terriers we have spent SOOOO much money on different products... some have been great and others have been a complete waste of money. Below you will find some of our favorite dog products. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. We get paid a very small percentage of your sale if you link from our site and make a purchase. Any money we earn goes right back to the dogs to buy more beds, toys, and supplies. With all the money that goes into the dogs for food, vet care, supplies, etc., we lose money on our breeding program. Our main goal in doing this program is to help you know which products we have found the most useful, so that you are not spending extra finding ones that work!! Some products below are offered in more than one size and/or color, so make sure you choose the one you would prefer! The prices below were the listed prices as of 3/29/2018. Happy Shopping!!

Crates, Carriers, Gaits, etc...

Both of these crates are a great size for an adult TFT. The higher priced one seems to be made with slightly nicer plastic, but they are basically the same. This is a nice sturdy cate for travel or home.

I really like both of these exercsie pens. Really I like the Regalo better, but small pups can squeeze through the bars. What makes it nice is that there are no cross wires for the TFTs to use as a ladder to climb out. If you opt for the traditional exercise pen you might need to purchase the top too to prevent climbing out and getting injured. There is no top needed with the Regalo bc there is no way for a TFT to climb out.

This is a nice little crate bed. Make sure to choose the correct size for the area you want it to fill or the crate you plan to put it in.

These two crates are the same just in different colors. They are smaller and great for younger puppies or as a "re-crate-train" an older dog that started having accidents again. I like the 19 inch size in this crate for puppies. This is not a crate I feel is sturdy enough to carry around a TFT in, but it's great for home.

I love rope leads. I think they feel nice in the hands, and they don't seem to slip through your hands like a small, flat leash can.

A great bed for TFTs is buying fleece material by the yard. I will buy 1-2 yards at a time and cut them into smaller squares or rectangles.

Food, Treats, & Home

At this time these are two foods that I would recommend. Recipes do change, so these recommendations may change.

I don't do a lot of treats that are actually treats. Many dog treats are full of terrible ingredients. I use pieces of their food as a treat or one of the two options shown above. The Ziwi is actually a food, but I use it in small amounts along with my other dry food or as treats.

I have started using an electric toothbrush. I bought the cheaper option above, but I kind of wish I would have gotten the more expensive one.

These three products are great to have around in cleaning up little messes:

  • Simple Green is a nice cleaner to help get rid of urine orders to prevent your pup from messing in the same place again.

  • Nature's Miracle is great for adding to dog bedding laundry to get rid of urine smells from their beds.

  • The gloves are a nice thing to have when cleaning up messes, but I ALWAYS use them when cleaning the dogs' teeth. You don't want doggie mouth bacterial getting up under your nails!!
